The Imperial Theatre is a Broadway theater located in the centre of Manhattan, which accommodates up to 1417 people. The Imperial Theatre was officially used on December 25, 1923 and was initially used to perform musical dramas by Herbert J. Clapp. Since then, many famous musicals have been staged at the Imperial Theatre, including “Take Your Gun” (1946), “Fiddler on the Roof” (1964), “Chasing Dreams Girl” (1981). From November 2008 to January 2012, the theatre was used as a Billy Elliot music contest. At present the theater is fixed on Broadway classic musicals “The Great Comet” (“Big Comet”).
